FASTSIGNS International Expanding Its Horizons Seeks Development in Scotland for First Time
For IMMEDIATE RELEASE May 2, 2006
GLASGOW, Scotland - Building on its recent successes in England, FASTSIGNS International, Inc., a worldwide sign and graphics franchisor, is now looking to the north – to Scotland, in fact, where the company is marketing sign franchises for the first time.
“In the last two years, we have really hit the English market hard,” said Garth Allison, the company’s director of U.K. franchise sales. Five new FASTSIGNS® centres have opened, with a sixth new location to open in Coventry this spring and a seventh centre planned for Colchester later in 2006. “Scotland is the perfect place for us to expand outside of England,” said Garth.
FASTSIGNS International will be exhibiting at the British Franchise Exhibition June 2 - 3 in Glasgow. “We’ve been thinking about the expansion northward for a while, and this show is the official launch of our presence in the Scottish market,” said Garth. “We offer an excellent business-to-business opportunity for the person who wants to run his or her own company.”
The reasons that the company is now marketing franchises in Scotland include:
The growth of entrepreneurs in the Scottish economy as well as overall economic expansion.
The growth of the franchising business model in Scotland, as is evident by the fact that 42 percent of Scotland’s franchising opportunities are new to the region in the last two years, according to a 2005 joint survey by the British Franchise Association (BFA) and NatWest.
The proximity of Scotland to England, where Garth and other FASTSIGNS International employees work to support the stores in England.
The synergy between the business climates in England and Scotland.
All 18 – soon to be 19 – U.K. locations have in-house, large-format, full colour digital printing equipment to produce customers’ signs and graphics. The individually owned and operated FASTSIGNS® centres cater to the needs of the business community, providing sign and graphic solutions from exhibition graphics to exterior signs, from banners to livery graphics.
For more information about franchising opportunities in the U.K., contact Garth at garth.allison@fastsigns.com, or by phone at 01246 456 512. His toll free number is 0800 093 4977. Garth’s address is Dunston Innovation Centre, Dunston Road, Chesterfield, S41 8NG. Or visit franchise.fastsigns.com to learn more about FASTSIGNS®.
In addition to England, FASTSIGNS® centres are found in the United States, where the corporate headquarters are, Canada, Mexico, Brazil and Australia (where centres operate under the SIGNWAVE® name). |
